Buffs dominated the first game, winning with a final score of 9-0. King earned the shutout, and Austin Granmoe led the way with 4 goals and 1 assist. King earned the 14-save shutout.
The second game proved to be a bit tougher for the Buffs. CU jumped out to a 4-0 lead at the 10:02 in the second period before CSU scored 4 goals to tie the game late in the period. After a timeout, the Buffs scored twice in the last minute of the period to make it 6-4. The Buffs then pulled away in the game, winning 10-5. Dev Patel had 4 goals, Jason Rieger had 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists), and King made 20 saves in the win.
