CU B moved into first place after dominating CSU B 6-1, ending the Rams' 10 game winning streak. The two newcomers showed why they are crucial to the team's success, with Elliot Berger notching five points and Kyle Nagato notching two points in the win. CU B then beat Metro B 6-3 in a heated game to extend their winning streak to 4. Metro State scored a shorthanded goal to tie the game at three, but then Joseph Oria scored ten seconds later on the powerplay to give the Buffs the 4-3 lead. Metro imploded, and the Buffs scored two more goals to secure the victory.
Both teams are off until February 11th, when both teams play a slate of games that weekend at RMR in Lakewood. Go Buffs!
