LAKEWOOD, CO- The day started with the B team playing in the firs game of a three game series against Colorado State. Mark Voll scored the first goal of the game, which was assisted by Alex Leiman. He then scored again, this time assisted by Logan McCaul. Austin Hunt scored the third goal, which gave the Buffs a two-goal lead. Then, the Rams were able to score five goals in a row to take the game 6-3.
Next, the A team played in the semi finals, against Denver University. Adam Steinberg was quick to score the first goal. Zach Raub then scored an unassisted
goal. At the end of the period Adam Steinberg scored another goal, assisted by Colin Luben and Zach Raub. In the second period Zach Raub scored another goal, which was assisted by Adam Steinberg. The Buffaloes started the third period down by three goals, but quickly caught up. Adam Steinberg scored his third goal of the game, which was assisted by Zach Raub. Then Brian Barrow scored two goals in a row. Zach Clawson assisted the first goal, and Colin Luben assisted the second goal. The A team made a great effort to catch up in the
third period of their last game. Unfortunately the Buffs fell up short, and they were eliminated by a 8-7 score.
The B team next played game two against Colorado State, for the B team
championship. Alex Leiman scored the first goal for the Buffs in the second period. Then in the third period Patrick Dowling scored a power play goal. The Rams were able to get 8 goals on the Buffs. The final score of the last game of the season was 8-2 CSU.
Good job to both teams for giving it their all this season!
