About the League
The University of Colorado Roller Hockey team is a club sport team that competes in the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association (NCRHA). We play against teams such as Colorado State, Denver, Kansas State, Illinois State, and Bethel University. The season is split up by semester where 8 games are played each semester. In the spring semester, there are regionals which decides the regional champion. After regionals, the NCRHA selects the best teams in the nation to compete in nationals where a champion is crowned. The Nationals location is TBA, but the 2019 edition was held in Rochester, New York.
About the Team
The roller hockey team usually carries two teams, an A team and a B team. These teams practice 1-2 times a week (depending on availability and funds) at Rocky Mountain Roller (RMR) or Skate City Westminster. Tryouts are held at the beginning of first and second semester. Dues are between $150-$200 a semester for 8 games and practices (per semester). The team usually travels at least twice per year. Jerseys are provided for a $100 deposit which is refunded once the jerseys are returned. You will also purchase an alternate jersey for $50, and you can purchase pants for $55, both if which you can keep. If you have any further questions or would like to be put on the mailing list, you can email the team at [email protected].
