After a tough loss against CSU earlier in the evening, the Buffs rebounded very strong with a great effort against the Division 1 squad of Metro State. The Buffs found themselves down in the first period as Ryan Donahue scored for the Roadrunners with 1:17 remaining in the first. That will be the first and the only lead Metro State will have all game. Jake Sundling finally broke through the Metro State goaltender 2:45 into the second period, and Collin Luben added a powerplay goal to give the Buffaloes the 2-1 lead heading into the third. Then, they jumped out to a 5-1 lead with 9:41 remaining in the game. Metro State did not quit, and they scored two goals within 45 seconds of each other to bring the game back to 5-3. Fortunately, the Buffs came back strong, and they ended up winning the game 7-4. This was the Buffs first win against a Division 1 squad in over a year, and it gave Metro State its first loss of the season. The Buffs end the weekend with a 2-4 record. They will be off next weekend before finishing out the semester schedule against UNC-A and Denver on November 20th. Let's go Buffs!!!
